Custom Song Commission — Terms of Commission

What's Included

One original song written from scratch by Vlad Hernandez and Blake Dahlmeyer / BD Studios, based on the story, theme, or inspiration submitted by the buyer. Produced in a stripped-down "Unplugged" style. Recorded and performed by Vlad. Delivered as one final mixed digital audio file (MP3 + WAV).

Process

Buyer must submit the intake form within 7 days of purchase. This starts the delivery clock. The final song will be delivered within 30-45 days of intake form submission. Buyer receives one round of revision requests, limited to smaller creative adjustments (e.g. a lyric line or phrase), not a full rewrite or new song.

Creative Control

Vlad and Blake retain full creative and final decision-making authority over melody, lyrics, arrangement, and production. The buyer's request guides direction but is not a guarantee of an exact match to any specific reference or request.

Ownership & Usage

Buyer receives a personal-use license to the final recording. They may keep it, share it privately, gift it, or post it personally (e.g. social media, a proposal, a wedding). Vlad and BD Studios retain full copyright and master ownership of the composition and recording. Any commercial use, resale, licensing, or public release under the buyer's own name/project requires a separate commercial buyout, priced on request.

Payment

Due in full at purchase, or in 4 installments via Shop Pay. Fully refundable within 48 hours of purchase, as long as the intake form has not yet been submitted. Non-refundable once the intake form is submitted and work has begun.

No Guarantee Clause

This is a creative commission. While we'll do everything to reflect the story and direction submitted, we can't guarantee the final piece will match an exact imagined outcome — this is true of any custom creative work.
